Kari Griffith is the Business Manager for the Smith & Griffith Real Estate Team, where she plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in driving operational excellence and delivering a seamless client experience. With eight years of experience as a top-producing Realtor®, Kari brings strategic insight, leadership, and a strong foundation in residential, rural, and acreage real estate.

Role & Responsibilities

In her role with the Smith & Griffith Real Estate Team, Kari works closely with agents and support staff to manage internal systems, oversee marketing initiatives, and support real estate transactions from start to finish. Her hands-on experience allows her to streamline operations, maintain high service standards, and ensure every transaction is handled with care, efficiency, and integrity.

Real Estate Development & Investment Experience

In addition to her role with the Smith & Griffith Real Estate Team, Kari is focused on the growth of West Haven Land & Developments Inc., a company she co-founded with Rees. West Haven specializes in joint-venture land and residential development projects for private investors.

Kari leads projects from concept through execution, overseeing:

• Investor relations
• Project management
• Marketing strategy
• Operational oversight

Her work ensures developments are strategically positioned, aligned with investor objectives, and built for long-term success.

Background, Education & Agricultural Experience

Kari’s background is rooted in rural Alberta, having grown up on a mixed grain and cattle farm near Balzac. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) from the University of Calgary and began her professional career in media sales before transitioning into real estate.

Having raised her family in both Calgary neighborhoods and on an acreage in Rocky View County, Kari brings a practical understanding of the lifestyle, land use, and financial considerations involved in real estate decisions. Alongside their real estate ventures, Kari and Rees also own and operate farming operations, providing hands-on experience in agricultural land management and long-term asset value.

Community Involvement & Leadership

Beyond her professional work, Kari is a dedicated volunteer and community leader with more than 35 years of involvement on committees and boards. She currently serves as a proud board member of the Calgary Stampede.
